(Google Play) : Your one-stop shop for Android apps, games, music, movie rentals and purchases, and e-books. The Google Play Store app is available on every Android device by default and provides access to the entire storefront suite of offerings. Standard apps appear on Android, but games, music, books, movies, and TV are all libraries of downloadable content. Here’s what you need to know. (Google Play) applications are intended for Android devices regardless of the manufacturer, whether it is (Samsung, Google, Huawei), etc., but some of them require certain hardware features.
Date and launch (Google Play):
Google Play was launched on March 6, 2012, bringing together the previous Android markets (Android Market, Google Music and Google Books) under one brand. Google Play used to offer a Devices tab in the Play Store, but as Google’s hardware offerings expanded and required more customer support, the company moved the devices to its own site called the Google Store. And now (Google Play) is strictly for downloadable apps and content.
Components (Google Play):
Google Play divides its content into apps, music, books, movies, and TV. The content can be downloaded directly to an Android device through the Play Store or the application can be sent to a device from the Google Play website.
1- Applications:
The Google Play Store surpassed 1 million apps in July 2013 and currently has more than 2.8 million apps. Some applications can take advantage of the device’s hardware capabilities, such as motion sensors (for motion-based games) or the front camera (for Internet video calls).
2- Music:
The music section of (Google Play) offers songs and albums for purchase in categories such as (Hot New Music, R&B / Soul), Top Ringtones of the day, and Recommended for you. It also offers Google Play Music, which contains 40 million songs on demand, ad-free radio with unlimited skips, the ability to create your own playlists, and much more.
Google Play Music is being phased out in favor of YouTube Music, and will likely disappear at the end of 2020. The company is facilitating the transfer of playlists and music from Google Play Music to YouTube Music.
3- books:
The Books section of Google Play is an e-book distribution service where e-books and audiobooks can be downloaded and read or listened to on your Android device. There are currently more than five million e-book offers.
4- Movies and TV:
Movie rentals and purchases are available through the Google Play Movies & TV section. You can also access a wide range of TV episodes from network shows and premium channels.
